31-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Lincoln Avenue

ALAMEDA, CA (February 14, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, Albert Zhu was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on 9th Street.

Authorities responded to the scene around 1:00 p.m., near Lincoln Avenue.

Officers say the driver of a northbound grey four-door sedan attempted to turn left onto Lincoln Avenue from 9th Street. There, the sedan struck a Suzuki motorcycle.

First responders located the severely damaged motorcycle and Zhu down on the road upon arrival. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 31-year-old Zhu, of Alameda dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alameda Officials are asking those who witnessed the crash to contact the department’s traffic division at 510-337-8340.
