Solo-Vehicle Accident near Adams Avenue Left One Dead, Another Injured
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 13, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, a rollover crash on Interstate 805 left a man dead and left his passenger hospitalized.
The CHP responded to the incident around 3:01 a.m. along the southbound lanes of the freeway, south of Adams Avenue.
According to the report, a gray Ford Focus traveling southbound on I-805 went off the roadway for unknown reasons.
Afterward, the Ford went down an embankment and rolled over several times, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.
Responding medical personnel transported the 30-year-old male driver to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His passenger was also hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased driver once the next of kin has been notified. Police are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
