Child Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Fawndale Lane and Highway 290

HOUSTON, TX (February 13, 2024) – Tuesday night, an 18-month-old child was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Guhn Road.

Around 6:30 p.m., police responded to the scene at the 5900 block of Guhn Road near Fawndale Lane and Highway 290.

Officers say the driver of a vehicle was entering a parking lot from the back side of the property. There, the vehicle struck a child that was playing in the area.

Upon impact, the driver immediately stopped to render aid and contact 911. Paramedics arrived and transported the 18-month-old girl to a nearby hospital where she later died.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian accident on Guhn Road.
