73-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision near 95th Avenue

OAKLAND, CA (March 6, 2024) – Monday afternoon, an elderly man died in a pedestrian accident on International Boulevard.

Officers received dispatch calls around 12:45 a.m., at the 9500 block of International Boulevard near 95th Avenue.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of an eastbound light-colored vehicle struck a man who was walking within a marked crosswalk. The driver then fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.

First responders declared the 73-year-old man deceased at the scene. Although, police have not yet released his name or place of residency.
