30-Year-Old Man Arrested, One Hospitalized after DUI Collision on Eucalyptus Drive
AMERICAN CANYON, CA (February 8, 2024) – Tuesday evening, Carlos Noe Perez was arrested after a hit-and-run DUI crash on Highway 29.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m., near Eucalyptus Drive. However, the circumstances leading up to the collision remain unclear.
Officers say one victim sustained serious injuries from the crash. In addition, the driver exited his 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV and fled the scene on foot.
Eventually, officers managed to detain the suspect after being spotted hiding in nearby shrubbery.
Following preliminary duties, police arrested 30-year-old Perez, of Oakland for DUI, hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license. Officials booked him into the Napa County Jail with a $100,000 bail.
Meanwhile, medical personnel rushed the unidentified victim to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor-to-moderate injuries.
