Miles Harbin Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision on Interstate 580 [Hayward, CA]
26-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Interstate 238
HAYWARD, CA (February 7, 2024) – Two vehicles fatally struck Miles Harbin Monday night, in a pedestrian collision on Interstate 580.
Authorities responded to the scene around 6:00 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Interstate 238.
Reports indicate that the victim had been involved in a collision on the westbound lanes of I-580 prior to the incident. He then exited his vehicle and walked across the lanes.
There, two vehicles struck the pedestrian, later identified as 26-year-old Harbin. Medical personnel later pronounced Harbin dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the two drivers involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
