SUV Vs. Pedestrian Collision on State Street Left 55-Year-Old Woman Injured

SAN DIEGO, CA (January 31, 2024) – Saturday evening, a woman was sent to a hospital following a pedestrian crash on West Cedar Street. 

Police responded to the fatal collision around 6:45 p.m. at the W. Cedar and State Street in Little Italy.

Upon arrival, the officers learned that a 2003 GMC Yukon stopped for a stop sign at the intersection but failed to see the pedestrian. 

Investigators said the 53-year-old man driving the GMC went forward and hit the victim crossing the street. 

Eventually, emergency responders arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to a local hospital where she remained in stable condition.
