42-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Elkhorn Boulevard
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (January 31, 2024) – Thursday evening, Violetta Seraya was killed in hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Walerga Road.
Around 9:43 p.m., police responded to the scene near Elkhorn Boulevard.
Officers say a pedestrian walked directly in front of a vehicle that was traveling west through a green light. Per reports, the victim was within the marked crosswalk.
Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 42-year-old Seraya dead at the scene.
