One Pronounced Dead following Pedestrian Accident on Valley View Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]
72-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Diablo Drive
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 8, 2024) – Early Friday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Valley View Boulevard.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened just after 5:00 p.m., just south of Diablo Drive.
Upon investigation, the authorities learned that a Ford F150 pickup truck headed northbound on Valley View approaching the intersection with Diablo Drive when the man walked outside a crosswalk and got struck.
Furthermore, the driver immediately stopped and called 911, he attempted to assist the man just before the authorities arrived.
The man sustained extreme injuries which later led to his death. The troopers did not disclose his identity.
Further investigation is being handled by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section at this time.
