19-Year-Old Woman Dies in Auto Collision near Belt Line Road

DALLAS, TX (January 30, 2024) – Sunday morning, Jasmine Lewis was killed in a car accident on President George Bush Turnpike.

Officers received dispatch calls around 1:15 a.m., near Belt Line Road on January 14th.

Investigators say Lewis became involved in a single-vehicle collision. She then exited her 2004 Honda Accord when the driver of a 2014 BMW X3 struck her and the Honda.

First responders located 19-year-old Lewis down on the road in critical condition. Crews later pronounced her dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics took the BMW driver, 28-year-old Kiara Frazier, and her passenger 33-year-old Devvyn Eddington to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

In addition, another passenger inside the Honda, 18-year-old King Martin sustained minor injuries.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
