66-Year-Old Moped Rider Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision near South Pecos Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 25, 2024) – Late Friday evening, Kenneth Frank was arrested after a fatal moped crash on East Flamingo Road.

Police responded to the scene around 11:55 p.m., just west of South Pecos Road on January 19th.

Officers say 68-year-old Frank was driving a Ford F-150 and failed to slow down upon entering the intersection. As a result, the Ford struck the eastbound moped rider, ejecting him onto the road.

First responders located the 66-year-old Moped rider down on the road upon arrival. Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

In addition, Frank fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities. Crews later found the involved truck and arrested Frank. Officers charged Frank with reckless driving resulting in death and hit-and-run related charges.
