42-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Crash near King Ridge Road
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (February 8, 2024) – A bicycle accident on Hauser Bridge Road claimed the life of Zoe Esther Cheng, Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene around 1:20 p.m., on the westbound lanes of Hauser Bridge Road near King Ridge Road.
Investigators say a bicyclist failed to negotiate a curve while going at a high rate of speed. The cyclist then veered off the road and struck a downed tree.
Reports indicate that her riding partner found her and immediately contacted authorities. Despite life-saving efforts, first responders pronounced the female bicyclist dead at the scene.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased bicyclist as 42-year-old Cheng, of San Jose.
