Mark Munro Died in Single-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 80 [West Wendover, NV]
64-Year-Old Driver Dies and Passenger Injured in Solo-Car Crash on Westbound Interstate 80
WEST WENDOVER, NV (January 23, 2024) – On Friday evening, police responded to a vehicle accident on Interstate 80 that claimed the life of Mark Munro.
The incident happened on January 5th around 6:00 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80.
According to the troopers, the incident involved a Honda CR-V SUV driven by 64-year-old Munro with a passenger.
Upon investigation, the troopers stated that Munro was traveling eastbound when he failed to make a left-hand curve safely and went into the center median and the westbound lanes.
Furthermore, the Honda overturned multiple times before it crashed into a concrete barrier. Unfortunately, the crash led to the death of Munro, and his passenger was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
