Driver Hospitalized after 2-Car Accident on Grand Avenue [Glendale, AZ]
One Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Bethany Home Road
GLENDALE, AZ (January 29, 2024) – Early Friday morning, a driver sustained injuries in a 2-car accident on Grand Avenue and US Highway 60.
Per authorities, it happened in the westbound lanes of the highway near Missouri Avenue, and between Camelback and Bethany Home Roads, around 5:00 a.m., January 12th.
According to the Glendale Police Department, two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes where one driver ended up suffering life-threatening wounds.
Furthermore, the other driver attempted to flee the scene by foot but police were able to catch him.
Consequently, the Arizona Department of Transportation blocked the area for the whole morning, and it was reopened by 2:15 p.m.
It was unknown if speed and impairment played a role in the incident, and further investigation is underway.
