Christopher Earl Sterling Killed, Moraima Cardenas Involved in Motorcycle Crash on 16th Street [Ector County, TX]
57-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident near Palomino Avenue
ECTOR COUNTY, TX (January 22, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, Christopher Earl Sterling was fatally struck in a motorcycle crash on 16th Street.
The incident occurred around 4:12 p.m., near Palomino Avenue on January 13th.
Per reports, 57-year-old Moraima Cardenas, of Odessa was driving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma south on Palomino Avenue and turned left onto 16th Street. There, Cardenas moved into the right lane and rear-ended a 2023 Harley Davidson FLHX motorcycle that was heading east.
Medics arrived and pronounced 57-year-old Sterling, of Ohio dead at the scene. Investigators say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
