47-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Center Avenue
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (January 17, 2024) – Monday night, Anthony Arturo Martinez was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash on Gothard Street.
The deadly incident happened around 9:00 p.m. in the area of Gothard St. and Center Avenue.
Responding officers learned that a red Harle-Davidson motorcycle lost control while traveling northbound on Gothard.
As a result, the motorcycle veered into the southbound lanes where it collided with a blue Honda Civic in the southbound No.2 lanes.
Tragically, the first responders declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The authorities later identified the deceased rider as 47-year-old Anthony Arturo Martinez of Midway City.
Police said the 66-year-old female Honda driver from Huntington Beach stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. No further information has been released by authorities at this time.
