43-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Collision near Highway 119
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 17, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, one male driver was killed in a semi-truck crash on Highway 99.
The incident occurred around 3:31 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway just south of Highway 119.
Per reports, the driver of a semi-truck was traveling in the slow lane and rear-ended a 2008 Toyota Prius. Upon impact, both vehicles were pushed onto the right shoulder.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 43-year-old male driver of the Toyota, from Atascadero dead at the scene.
