60-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash near South Edmond Street

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 18, 2024) – On Friday afternoon, the police received a report about a pedestrian accident on West Spring Mountain Road.

The fatal incident happened on January 5th around 4:00 p.m. just east of South Edmond Street.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a 60-year-old man attempted to cross the road from south to north when a 2016 Buick Verano headed eastbound struck him.

Furthermore, the police determined that the old man was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident.

As soon as the first responders arrived, they transported the man to UMC Trauma but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and died. Full disclosure of his identity has not been released at this time.
