ALBUQUERQUE, NM (January 16, 2024) – On Wednesday evening, a woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on 98th Street Southwest.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a police vehicle was on its way to work traveling northbound headed Northeast Area Command when the woman suddenly went into the traffic lanes.
Furthermore, the officer applied his brakes but he was unable to stop in time. He then struck the woman, and the woman sustained critical injuries.
Consequently, responding paramedics transported the woman to the hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
Moreover, the authorities stated that speed did not play a part in the collision, and further investigations are still underway.
