55-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Round Up Road

TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (January 12, 2024) – Friday evening, a hit-and-run collision on Amboy Road claimed the life of Christopher Plummer.

Dispatchers responded to the scene around 8:41 p.m., at the 75000 block of Amboy Road on January 5th.

According to reports, responding deputies discovered the victim lying in the middle of the roadway. Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene.

The San Bernardino County Officials later identified the victim as 55-year-old Plummer, of Twentynine Palms.

Police said the involved driver fled the site of the crash before the authorities arrived. Investigators claimed that the suspect hit Plummer while walking west on Amboy Road.
