50-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near Garlock Road
MOJAVE, CA (January 10, 2024) – Monday morning, Mary Leechelle Love was killed in a head-on collision on Redrock Randsburg Road.
The incident occurred around 8:36 p.m., just west of Garlock Road.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a westbound white Mercedes struck an eastbound white Hyundai. Due to the impact of the crash, the female driver of the Hyundai died at the scene.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased driver as 50-year-old Love, of Ridgecrest.
Meanwhile, Love’s passenger and the driver of the Mercedes were transported to a hospital for treatment of significant injuries. Police do not suspect drugs and alcohol to be a factor in the collision.
