One Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Collision near Junipero Serra Boulevard

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 19, 2024) – Monday evening, a car accident on Palmetto Avenue left one person dead and two other people hurt.

Police responded to the collision around 8:26 p.m. on Palmetto Ave and Junipero Serra Boulevard in Ingleside Heights, per initial reports. 

Upon arrival, the officers discovered an overturned vehicle with one of the people involved lying on the roadway. Two other people were located suffering from significant injuries. 

First responders declared the unidentified person lying on the ground dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the two other patients to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. 

At this time, the identity of the deceased person remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin. The California Highway Patrol advised all motorists to avoid the area as crews cleared the scene.
