Kaylaa Kirkland Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Amarillo Boulevard West [Amarillo, TX]
26-Year-Old Speeding Driver Pronounced Dead after Traffic Collision on North Tennessee Street
AMARILLO, TX (January 9, 2024) – On Friday afternoon, a reported two-vehicle accident claimed the life of Kaylaa Kirkland.
The incident happened just before 4:00 p.m., December 29th, at the intersection of Amarillo Boulevard West and North Tennessee Street.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, the collision involved a Chevrolet Suburban and a Nissan sedan driven by 26-year-old Kirkland.
Investigation showed that the Chevy was traveling west on Amarillo Boulevard when the speeding Nissan lost control in the eastbound lanes and got hit by the Chevy.
Furthermore, the authorities arrived at the scene and they found the Chevy with front end damages and the Nissan with damages on its passenger side.
Consequently, the authorities transported Kirkland to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and died.
Also, the Chevy driver suffered major injuries from the collision, and paramedics transported him to the hospital.
Further investigation is being handled by the Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Squad.
