38-Year-Old Woman Pronounced after Pedestrian Collision near California Avenue
LAS CRUCES, NM (January 18, 2024) – One woman was fatally struck Friday evening in a pedestrian accident on Solano Drive.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m., near California Avenue on December 29th.
According to reports, the 36-year-old male driver of a 2018 Dodge Durango struck a woman who was crossing Solano Drive from east to west. Paramedics pronounced the 38-year-old woman dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased woman.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following the incident, no charges were filed against the driver, and authorities are handling further investigation.
