Violent Car Collision near Elm Avenue Resulted in Fatality

GLENDALE, CA (January 8, 2024) – Police arrested Karo Margarian last Monday evening following a deadly two-vehicle crash on Glenoaks Boulevard.

The collision happened around 8:24 p.m. in the area of Glenoaks Blvd at Elm Avenue in the city of Glendale. 

Based on the initial investigation, a black BMW traveling westbound lost control for unknown reasons. 

As a result, the BMW veered into the eastbound lanes where it collided with a silver Honda going in the opposite direction.

Unfortunately, the male passenger in his 70s inside the Honda sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Honda driver, also identified to be in their 70s, was hospitalized for serious injuries. 

Paramedics also rushed the BMW driver, 23-year-old Karo Margarian, to a hospital for his injuries. Margarian was later arrested for suspected DUI and felony reckless driving.
