Auto-Pedestrian Collision near Presidio Resulted in Major Injuries

REDDING, CA (February 6, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a pedestrian crash on Hilltop Drive sent one person to a hospital. 

Police responded to the collision around 6:17 p.m. on Hilltop Drive, south of Presidio in the city of Redding. 

According to the report, a northbound sedan hit a male pedestrian crossing Hilltop from the east side of the street. Investigators said the victim was on an unmarked crosswalk and wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash. 

Responding medical personnel transported the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of significant injuries. 

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Police do not suspect drugs and alcohol to be a factor in the incident.
