Pursuit Ends in Traffic Collision near 3rd Street, 4 Officers Hospitalized
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 3, 2024) – Friday evening, a car crash on Cesar Chavez Street sent at least four police officers to a hospital.
The collision occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the area of Cesar Chavez and 3rd Streets.
According to the police, authorities tried to perform a traffic stop on a wanted vehicle. However, the suspect failed to comply resulting in a pursuit.
The chase ended after the suspect crashed into another vehicle. Footage from the scene revealed a heavily damaged patrol car and another vehicle overturned.
Responding medical personnel transported four officers to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the suspect with unspecified charges. At this time, the identities of the people involved in the collision have not been released to the public.
