Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision near Teazle Canyon Road
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 27, 2023) – Tuesday, one man was killed and Arvien Atakhanian was arrested after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:20 p.m., at the 10000 block of Sunland Boulevard near Teazle Canyon Road.
Per reports, the driver of a southbound grey 2023 Tesla Model 3 struck a pedestrian crossing the road just west of Sunland Way. Paramedics arrived and transported the male victim to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
Meanwhile, officers located and arrested the driver, 28-year-old Atakhanian, of Glendale. The LAPD booked Atakhanian for suspicion of felony hit-and-run and he is currently being held without bail.
Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
