41-Year-Old Woman and 23-Year-Old Man Killed in Car Accident near South Avenue Q Drive

LUBBOCK, TX (December 20, 2023) – Saturday night, a 2-vehicle crash on 58th Street took the lives of Angela Bray and Rodrigo Torres.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 7:30 p.m., near South Avenue Q Drive on December 9th.

Per reports, 41-year-old Bray was driving a vehicle west on the 1000 block of 58th Street with Torres as the passenger. There, she collided with another vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Princeton Ugwu.

Upon impact, both vehicles were pushed into three parked cars near the intersection.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced 41-year-old Bray and 23-year-old Torres dead at the scene. Meanwhile, crews took Ugwu to University Medical Center for treatment.

No other details were added, and the LPD’s Major Crash Unit is handling further investigation.
