PECOS COUNTY, TX (December 20, 2023) – Thursday evening, William Harold O’Connell died in a pedestrian accident on US 285.
Police responded just before 6:45 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Mile Marker 421 on December 7th.
Officers say 41-year-old Joshua Robert Pass was driving a 2017 Ford F-250 and struck O’Connell who was walking along the road.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 71-year-old O’Connell dead at the scene.
