Jimmy Louis Crathers Killed in U-Turn Collision on Avenue H [Temple, TX]
66-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident near Southeast Loop
TEMPLE, TX (December 18, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, Jimmy Louis Crathers was killed in a U-turn collision on Avenue H.
Around 3:20 p.m., police responded to the scene near Southeast Loop on December 7th.
Per reports, 66-year-old Crathers was driving a vehicle and made a U-turn in the middle of the loop. There, the driver of another vehicle slammed into the driver’s side of the vehicle driven by Crathers.
The impact of the collision resulted in the death of Crathers while his passenger sustained serious injuries. Responding paramedics transported the passenger to Baylor Scott & White Hospital.
Meanwhile, the other driver did not suffer any serious wounds, and troopers blocked the southbound lanes of the highway. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
