One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident on Edison Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 26, 2023) – Early Friday evening, one victim was fatally injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Sandhill Road.

Police responded to the scene just after 5:00 p.m., near Edison Avenue on December 8th.

Investigation showed that a 2006 Ford F-250 heading northbound on Sandhill Road struck a pedestrian who attempted to cross west outside of a marked crosswalk. Upon impact, the pedestrian was thrown onto the southbound lanes.

There, the driver of a tan or cream-colored sedan also hit the pedestrian. However, the sedan driver failed to stop and fled the scene, heading south.

Emergency Medical Personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford stayed at the scene and was evaluated by the investigators. He displayed no signs of impairment.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
