Driver Fled after Injuring Two GCU Students near Bethany Home Road

PHOENIX, AZ (December 25, 2023) – Late Friday evening, two students were injured following a hit-and-run crash near 29th Avenue.

On December 8th, at around 11:15 p.m., police responded near the intersection of 29th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

Upon arriving, the authorities located a man and a woman, later identified as a student of Grand Canyon University, in the area with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the troopers, both students were on their way to the university from a nearby off-campus residence when they got struck by the driver.

Furthermore, the driver immediately fled the scene and police have yet to locate the suspect. No model of the vehicle has been released at this time.

Consequently, both students were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Further investigation is being handled by the Phoenix deputies.
