One Injured in Pedestrian Crash on San Antonio Drive [Albuquerque, NM]
Reckless Pedestrian Hospitalized after Vehicle Accident on Interstate 25
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (December 26, 2023) – Early Tuesday evening, officers were called to a crash in the 5400 block of San Antonio Drive.
The deadly accident happened on December 5th just after 5:00 p.m. in the area of Interstate 25.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a pedestrian ran across traffic lanes on the highway when he got past a one-lane.
Furthermore, the pedestrian continued on the second lane where he got struck by a vehicle. The driver stated that traffic was moving slowly, and he could not see the pedestrian.
Moreover, the authorities stated that there was no crosswalk along the area. As a result, the pedestrian suffered injuries, and paramedics immediately transported him to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
No additional information was added by the officers, and an update will be released once the investigation is finished.
