Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Desert Inn Road [Las Vegas, NV]
52-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Died after Being Struck by Vehicle near Eastern Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 27, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a deadly pedestrian accident on Desert Inn Road claimed the life of one woman.
The incident happened on December 2nd around 5:15 a.m. in Desert Inn Road, just west of Eastern Avenue.
Furthermore, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that a 52-year-old woman was crossing southbound Desert Inn outside a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a 2024 Toyota Camry headed eastbound Desert Inn Road.
Consequently, emergency medical responders arrived at the scene and found the woman on the road. She was declared dead on the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver involved remained at the scene and police stated that he showed no signs of being impaired. Additionally, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Further investigation is underway.
