Solo-Vehicle Accident in Lubbock Left Two Teens Injured
LUBBOCK, TX (December 6, 2023) – Sunday night, a single-car accident on South Loop 286 left Dolores Barrera and Cassandra Aranda hospitalized.
Emergency personnel responded to the incident shortly after 10:00 p.m. at the 2500 block of South Loop 289.
According to the police, an eastbound vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons. Subsequently, the car hit a sign in the grass median before crashing for a second time into a tree at a business parking lot.
The first responders transported the driver and the passenger to University Medical Center for treatment. They were later identified as 18-year-old Dolores Barrera and 18-year-old Cassandra Aranda.
At this time, the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is leading the investigation.
