33-Year-Old Cyclist Fatally Struck by RTC Bus near South Nellis Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 29, 2023) – Friday afternoon, one man was fatally injured in a bus vs bicycle accident on East Tropicana Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 3:00 p.m., near South Nellis Boulevard on November 17th.
According to reports, a Regional Transportation Commission bus driver traveled through a stop sign at the intersection while the 33-year-old bicyclist was riding through.
As a result, the bus hit the bicyclist, causing life-threatening injuries. Paramedics arrived and took the cyclist to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
During preliminary duties, authorities evaluated the bus driver, who showed signs of being intoxicated. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
