33-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Willow Street

EL PASO, TX (November 27, 2023) – Early Friday morning, Humberto Escajeda was killed in a pedestrian collision on Montana Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 4:30 a.m., near Willow Street on November 17th.

Officers say 33-year-old Escajeda was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk. There, the driver of an eastbound pickup-truck struck the pedestrian.

Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No charges were cited against the driver, and the crash is still under investigation.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. Once available, more details will be provided.
