One Died in Pedestrian Accident on North Loop 610 [Houston, TX]
Pedestrian vs. Auto Collision Resulted in One Fatality
HOUSTON, TX (November 29, 2023) – Early Monday morning, deputies responded to a fatal pedestrian accident on North Loop 610.
On November 6th, at around 3:30 a.m., the Houston Police Department responded to the scene when a driver called after he struck a pedestrian.
Furthermore, the vehicle was identified as a Hummer H3, and the driver stated that he was on his way to work when he collided with the pedestrian along the main lanes. He immediately called 911 after he struck the pedestrian.
Unfortunately, a Houston Fire Department personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. In addition, the driver cooperated with the authorities.
Consequently, the eastbound lanes of 610 Loop between I-45 and Hardy Road were blocked during the length of the investigation. It was later then reopened.
At this time, the identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released, and an active investigation is ongoing.
