Pedestrian Crash Near Tracy Boulevard Off-Ramp Left One Dead
TRACY, CA (November 9, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a hit-and-run driver on Interstate Highway 205 fatally struck a male pedestrian.
Officers responded to the collision around 6:08 a.m. along the westbound lanes of the highway, just north of Tracy Boulevard offramp.
Upon arrival, authorities located the man lying in the roadway with fatal injuries. However, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
Police said the driver immediately fled the scene before the first responders arrived. At this time, authorities have not released additional information regarding the hit-and-run suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.
Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the road has since been reopened.
