39-Year-Old Man Dies after Suspected DUI Collision on Sutters Pointe Drive
SANTA CLARITA, CA (November 9, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, Orlando Gomez Sales was killed in a solo-car crash on Bouquet Canyon Road.
The deadly incident happened around 3:30 a.m., near Sutters Point Drive on November 1st.
Per reports, Sales was driving a dark blue Ford Edge and struck an ornamental tree and slammed into a power pole. Emergency responders extricated Sales who was trapped inside the vehicle for over 23 minutes.
Crews later pronounced the passenger, 39-year-old Sales, dead at the scene. Paramedics then took the driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Following preliminary duties, police suspect that impairment played a factor. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
