Man Declared Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 216 [Tulare County, CA]
High-Speed Collision at Beechwood Avenue Kills 30-Year-Old Man, Child Injured
TULARE COUNTY, CA (November 6, 2023) – Wednesday evening, a man was killed and a juvenile was hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 216.
Officials responded to the crash around 7:00 p.m. along Highway 216 at Beechwood Avenue in the area of Ivanhoe.
Based on the CHP report, a 1999 Ford was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed with the headlights turned off.
Subsequently, the Ford collided with a northbound 2001 Toyota at the intersection. The impact of the crash caused the Ford to roll over several times and ejected the male driver from the vehicle.
Eventually, emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the male Ford driver to Kaweah Health Medical Center. The driver succumbed to his injuries a short while later.
Meanwhile, a 1-year-old child from the Ford sustained minor injuries from the crash. The occupants of the Toyota remained unharmed.
