73-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Single-Vehicle Accident near West Vereda Azul
TUCSON, AZ (November 3, 2023) – Friday, Terry Spivey was killed and Veta Spivey was hurt in a solo-car crash on South Westover Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 1:13 p.m., near West Vereda Azul on October 27th.
Per reports, 73-year-old Terry was driving and suffered a medical event causing him to lose control. As a result, the vehicle spun off before slamming into a tree.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced Terry dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics took his passenger, 76-year-old Veta to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Authorities blocked South Westover Avenue between West Vereda Azul and West Vereda De Los Arboles, and drivers were advised to use other routes. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
