One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Vermont Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 2, 2023) – Wednesday morning, one victim was killed in a pedestrian collision on 101 Freeway.

Police responded to the scene around 4:30 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway, near the Vermont Avenue exit. 

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. However, investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Los Angeles Officials will release the deceased victim’s identity once the next of kin has been notified. 

Officers from the California Highway Patrol immediately blocked all the lanes, which caused heavy traffic in the area. Authorities advised motorists to take an alternative route.
