32-Year-Old Man Charged with Manslaughter Following Deadly Collision on Tidwell Road

HOUSTON, TX (November 1, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, Frankie Leroy Washington was arrested following a fatal crash.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on October 8th, at 2801 Tidwell Road.

According to the authorities, a black Dodge Ram pickup truck heading south lost control hit the METRO sign, and resumed driving. It then collided on the west side of Jensen and a wooden light pole. The impact caused the pickup to roll over.

Police said that the driver had two passengers. A 36-year-old male and 32-year-old female. The male passenger died at the scene while the female passenger was hospitalized.

Officers confirmed the driver to be intoxicated and had been charged with manslaughter.
