Pickup Versus Pedestrian Collision near Spring Street Left One Fatality
LA MESA, CA (October 31, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a pedestrian accident on Interstate 8 in La Mesa claimed the life of one person.
The fatal collision happened around 8:30 a.m., in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, just west of Spring Street.
Based on the initial investigation, a white Chevrolet pickup collided with a pedestrian running onto the freeway.
Responding emergency personnel unfortunately declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. However, his identity remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
