24-Year-Old Passenger Pronounced Dead after Semi-Truck Accident near 7th Standard Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 26, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, Michael Leo Gonzalez was killed in a fuel-truck crash on Main Drain Road.

Police responded to the scene around 3:00 p.m., on the southbound lanes just north of 7th Standard Road on October 1st.

Per reports, the 19-year-old driver of a 2014 International Pro Star fuel-truck was heading south and lost control. As a result, the truck overturned, causing fatal injuries to its passenger, 24-year-old Gonzalez.

Meanwhile, crews extricated the 19-year-old driver and airlifted them to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
