72-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Semi-Truck Collision near Pacific Road

SUTTER COUNTY, CA (October 26, 2023) – Tuesday evening, Daljit Singh was killed in a big-rig accident on Riego Road.

The incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m., near Pacific Road on October 3rd.

Per reports, Singh was driving a white Nissan SUV west and collided with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by 31-year-old Chad Foxworthy. Upon impact, Singh was sent off the road and into a ditch.

Meanwhile, Foxworthy was stopped on the eastbound lanes.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 72-year-old Singh dead.

Following preliminary duties, officers do not believe that alcohol or drugs was a contributing factor. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
