Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident on West Hills Parkway [San Diego, CA]
68-Year-Old Female Passenger Killed in Rear-End Collision near Carlton Oaks Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 25, 2023) – Saturday evening, one elderly woman was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on West Hills Parkway.
Dispatchers received calls in the area around 7:30 p.m., at the 8400 block of West Hills Parkway near Carlton Oaks Drive.
Per reports, the 33-year-old male driver of a Honda Accord merged into the No. 1 and No. 2 lane before rear-ending a Harley Tri-Glide motorcycle. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
Medics arrived and took the 65-year-old male rider and his female passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the extent of her condition, crews later pronounced the 68-year-old female passenger dead at the hospital.
Following preliminary duties, police were able to locate the suspect driver. At this time, the San Diego Police Department is currently leading the investigation.
