Cyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash on Zuni Road [Albuquerque, NM]
One Hospitalized after Bicycle Accident near Kentucky Street
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (October 25, 2023) – A hit-and-run bicycle crash on Zuni Road left a cyclist hospitalized Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m., near Kentucky Street on October 15th.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a bicyclist attempted to cross Zuni Road when a Ford pickup-truck heading eastbound struck him.
The cyclist suffered extreme injuries, and first responders immediately took him to UNM Hospital where he was listed as critical condition.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver rushed away from the scene before the authorities arrived.
Following preliminary duties, officers described the vehicles as a gray or charcoal Ford F-250, possibly a 2020 model with front-end damage. The driver was last seen heading east on Zuni Road and then north on Louisiana Boulevard.
